Privacy policy
nectar-ai.io collects the minimum needed to run an editorial site and does not sell, share or profile visitors for advertising. This page names exactly what is collected, why, and how long it stays around.
Who this policy is for
This policy applies to visitors of nectar-ai.io. It does not apply to Nectar.ai (the platform reviewed on this site), whose own data handling sits inside the Nectar.ai privacy policy. If you signed up on nectar.ai, the operator holds your account data, not this site. This site is editorial only and has no account system; the main artifact it produces is the Nectar AI pricing and alternatives page.
What is collected automatically
Standard web-server logs are recorded for every request: your IP address, the time of the request, the URL requested, the referring URL if present, and the User-Agent string sent by your browser. These logs are used to detect abuse, debug errors, and produce aggregated traffic counts. Logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted.
Cookies and local storage
The only client-side storage this site sets is a single localStorage entry named nai_age_ok, written when a visitor confirms they are 18 or older via the age gate. It stores the value "1" and no other information. Nothing about your identity, browsing history or preferences is stored anywhere else on your device by this site. Details on how the age gate works sit on the age verification page.
Third-party services
The site loads Google Fonts (Bricolage Grotesque, Instrument Sans, Space Mono) from fonts.googleapis.com so pages render in the intended typography. Loading a font causes Google to see your IP address and User-Agent. If you prefer to avoid that, browser extensions like Decentraleyes or uBlock Origin's font-blocking rules will substitute local fonts. No advertising SDKs, no session-replay scripts, and no cross-site trackers are loaded on this site. Broader positioning of the site sits on the about page.
Analytics
The site does not run Google Analytics or any equivalent client-side analytics product. Aggregate traffic counts are produced from the same server logs described above, and no individual visitor is profiled. If that ever changes, this page is updated first and the change goes at the top for at least thirty days.
Outbound links
The site links to third-party pages including nectar.ai, review sites, PitchBook, Finance Magnates and Melissa Blake's LinkedIn profile. Once you click through, the destination site takes over data handling under its own policy. Some outbound links to Nectar.ai carry a partner reference which lets the destination know the click came from nectar-ai.io; the partner reference does not carry your identity, only the referral tag. Details on how outbound sources are chosen sit on the methodology page.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal data this site holds about you (which will in most cases be a rolling 30-day window of server logs matching your IP) or ask that it be deleted early. Requests go through LinkedIn or the contact channel on the editor profile. Users in the EU/UK have rights under GDPR and users in California have rights under CCPA; the same channel handles both. Full corrections handling for factual claims sits on the editorial policy page.
Data breach handling
If a breach affecting visitor data ever happened, notification would go on the front page of this site within 72 hours of confirmation and to any affected reader whose contact was known. The editorial position of the site as a whole is not to hold data it does not need to hold, which is the reason the analytics footprint is minimal.
Changes to this policy
Material changes to this policy are dated and summarised at the top of this page for at least thirty days. Non-material changes (typo fixes, link updates) are made silently. The current version of the policy is dated below. Related documents are the terms of service and the 18 U.S.C. § 2257 statement.
